Keeping Up With The Joneses Short Film

KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES is a darkly comic thriller from director Michael Pearce, starring Maxine Peake, Geoff Bell and Adeel Akhtar. Funded as part of the BFI’s Lighthouse Short Film Scheme it was produced for Agile Films by Megan W. Rubens.

MP’s wife Celia discovers her husband’s true colours when she is taken hostage by his criminal business associates.

As well as being nominated for a British Independent Film Award and a BAFTA for Best Short Film, the film screened as part of an array of international film festivals including London, LSFF (where it won Best Thriller), Encounters, Aesthetica Film Festival (where it won Best Thriller), Vilnius, Reykjavik and Clermont-Ferrand.
